"Abiogenesis aka "Chemical Evolution"- Beginning of Life Without a Creator?"

by Jim Long

A biology lesson:Most living organisms have DNA, but some of the simplest forms of life found on Earth only have RNA. I am sorry that this may be full of terms you may not understand, but it was the best description I could find. If you want to skip the description of RNA and go to the rest of the article Click Here.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/

The RNA Molecule:

RNA is a biologically important type of molecule that consists of a long chain of nucleotide units. Each nucleotide consists of a nitrogenous base, a ribose sugar, and a phosphate. RNA is very similar to DNA, but differs in a few important structural details: in the cell, RNA is usually single-stranded, while DNA is usually double-stranded; RNA nucleotides contain ribose while DNA contains deoxyribose (a type of ribose that lacks one oxygen atom); and RNA has the base uracil rather than thymine that is present in DNA.

A nucleotide is composed of a nucleobase (nitrogenous base), a five-carbon sugar (either ribose or 2'-deoxyribose), and one to three phosphate groups. Together, the nucleobase and sugar comprise a nucleoside. The phosphate groups form bonds with either the 2, 3, or 5-carbon of the sugar, with the 5-carbon site most common. Cyclic nucleotides form when the phosphate group is bound to two of the sugar's hydroxyl groups.[1] Ribonucleotides are nucleotides where the sugar is ribose, and deoxyribonucleotides contain the sugar deoxyribose. Nucleotides can contain either a purine or pyrimidine base.

Nucleic acid are polymeric macromolecules made from nucleotide monomers. In DNA, the purine bases are adenine and guanine, while the pyrimidines are thymine and cytosine. RNA uses uracil in place of thymine.

For the rest of the explanation of the complexity of RNA or DNA and explanation of terms, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RNA or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DNA.

Cell Structure:

A cell contains cytoplasm and the nucleus, which contains the genetic materials that are made from RNA or DNA molecules that is enclosed by a membrane separating it from the cytoplasm. The cell contents are enclosed by the cell membrane. I am not going to go into the complexity of a cell membrane, cytoplasm, or the nucleus, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cell_membrane, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cytoplasm, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cell_nucleus. As you can see, even the simplest forms of life are very complex.

Abiogenesis aka "Chemical Evolution":

In abiogenesis aka "chemical evolution" (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abiogenesis, scientists would like you to believe, with improbable theories (sometimes in environments that never existed on Earth), that a complete cell would be formed by random chance and began to live. It is highly unlikely that the necessary chemical compound(s) that make up each part of the cell would form into the cell structure required for life to begin though random chance. There is no in between state; either it is a complete cell, or it can’t come to life.

Believing that a complete cell would be formed and began to live without a Creator is stretching the imagination. However, let us look at some of the ways people think that life began.

To those who say that life developed on land:

Through some astronomical chance (By astronomical chance, I mean almost impossible chance), a complete cell is formed. It must then begin to live. How? Electricity (like lightning), radiation, heat are more likely to destroy the cell than to bring it to life. If any period of time passes, wind and rain are going to break up the cell.

Some people use the analogy of a junk yard full of airplane parts that it impossible to make a functional airplane through natural forces. I go further than that, suppose you had unlimited amounts of airplane parts, an unlimited amount of time, and an unknown force. Many of the things that would be formed would not be a functional airplane, but it is possible that a functional airplane would be formed; however improbable it is, given the complexity of even the simplest airplane. How does it fly without a pilot? Even if it is a drone, something or someone has to start the engine.

To those who think life developed in the ocean such as a thermal vent:

It is even more of an astronomical chance; it is almost a miracle that a complete cell would form under these conditions. How? You are talking about a complete cell forming in conditions that are perhaps the most harmful to the formation and there would be a limited availability of necessary chemical compound to complicate any random chance formation. Not to mention, how it would come to life.

To those who think life came from a meteorite or asteroid:

If there is a planet that would favor the development of a cell; the cell or life form would have to not be destroyed from whatever cataclysmic event that dislodged it from the planet it came from; travel aimlessly millions, if not billions, of light years (It would not be traveling at the speed of light, so that would be a very long trip), in space’s environment devoid of oxygen, light, water, and heat; arrive at Earth in the vastness of the universe; not be destroyed during entry into Earth’s atmosphere; not be destroyed on impact; and if it was a life form in some type of hibernating state during its space travel, it would have to come back to life. Even if there was a planet that would favor the development of a cell, it still would have to come to life, either here or there. How likely does all of that sound?

Do you think abiogenesis aka "chemical evolution" can adequately explain the beginning of life? I don’t have enough faith in random chance to believe that a complete cell, given the complexity of the cell structure, was formed and began to live without a Creator. I call the Creator - God the Father.

Are you willing to bet your eternal life on random chance? If not, you can read about God the Father's Only Begotten Son, my Savior, Jesus Christ here on http://Freedom-of-Religion.org.

If you don't believe in abiogenesis and are not Saved yet; click for How do I Obtain Salvation?

I want to put this as clear as I can to my agnostic and atheist friends, your entire faith and belief system for a non-intelligent random formation of a cell is IMPOSSIBLE. The numerous chemical compounds of the genetic material that comprises RNA & DNA and other elements of the cell’s nucleolus are entirely surrounded by a membrane from the cytoplasm (Which is a complete set of different chemical compounds) and the entire cell is surrounded by another membrane (Which is of completely different structure from the nucleus membrane). It is FANTASY FICTION to believe in the timeframe now given for appearance of life on Earth for this Random formation. There is no in between state, which is the centerpiece of the Micro & Macro Evolution, in Chemical Evolution. If it is not a complete cell it cannot live!!!!
